Assets and proceeds that have been attained through or from the proceeds of crime can be seized or confiscated by Police.  Any asset that is considered to have been acquired from the proceeds of an offence will fall within the category.  In addition assets may be frozen which may include access to your bank accounts, dealings with your own property ( house, car, investments) and all of this may happen before you are convicted.

If you are a prescribed drug offender , all property , regardless of the property being acquired through proceeds of a crime, can be seized and forfeited or restrained permanently.

A prescribed drug offender is someone who has been convicted of a serious drug offence where they also have at least two other convictions for prescribed drug offences in the past 10 years. Our expert team  of solicitors can help you navigate and appeal these processes.
