With more than 40 years of experience between them, Lauraine and Phil created Evans Testa Barristers & Solicitors on the foundation of invaluable knowledge and practical application of the law, within both the public and private arenas. Priding themselves on the expert understanding and human touch needed to make a difference for their clients, they are equipped to help with all types of legal matters.

    Phil Testa was admitted to practice in 2002 after completing a double degree in Arts and Law at Adelaide University. He has considerable experience in general legal practice and has worked at various firms. Phil has also worked at Allianz SA – CTP managing claims involving major and catastrophic injury. He practices in all areas specialising in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Personal Injury Law and Wills and Estates. He was a member of the Law Society’s Accident and Compensation Committee for numerous years. Over the years, Phil has successfully handled large and complex matters involving personal injury (Common Law, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents) and general Civil Litigation. He has also developed a keen interest in all aspects of Family Law.

    Phil is a Barrister and Solicitor admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of S.A. and the High Court of Australia.

    Phil is a member of both the Law Society of South Australia and the Law Council of Australia (Family Law Section).
  • Lauraine (Lauri) Evans

    Lauraine (Lauri) Evans was admitted to practice in 2005 after completing a degree in Law at The University of New England. She was a Police Officer for over twenty years and later worked as a prosecutor. She then moved to private practice operating in numerous areas with a focus on Criminal Law. Lauraine practices in all areas specialising in all facets of Criminal Law, Traffic Law and Wills and Estates. She has worked on numerous high profile cases over the years and has appeared in interstate jurisdictions. She is a member of both the Law Society’s Criminal Law Committee and The Football Federation of South Australia’s Disciplinary Tribunal.

    Lauraine is a member of the Legal Services Commission General Panel and Complex Criminal Law Panel.

    Lauraine is a Barrister and Solicitor admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of S.A. and the High Court of Australia. Lauraine is a member of the Law Society of South Australia.
